in june 2008, banff council launched local bus system called roam, 3 routes connecting town, tunnel mountain, banff springs hotel, , banff gondola. service operated using 4 hybrid nova buses, each decorated scenes national park. there 3 separate routes: • route 1 goes sulphur mountain • route 2 goes tunnel mountain • route 3 goes banff, nearby canmore. many bus stops along routes have screens tell how many minutes before next 2 buses arrive. in december 2012, bus system expanded include route 3 hourly service between banff , canmore.


via rail s long-distance trains no longer serve banff, banff railway station remains in use rocky mountaineer , royal canadian pacific tour trains.
