spin-offs
are egghead?

on 20 october 2008, spin-off called egghead? debuted on bbc two. first series won barry simmons , lasted between 20 october 2 december 2008 while second series won pat gibson , lasted between 12 october 23 november 2009.


revenge of egghead

on 24 february 2014, new spin-off series of eggheads launched called revenge of egghead. presented jeremy vine , saw return of cj de mooi, left eggheads in 2012. in each episode, de mooi faced team of 5 contestants hoping win thousands of pounds. series ran 6-week period, between 24 february , 4 april 2014. lisa thiel appeared on show part of winning team before becoming egghead herself shortly afterwards.


main game

each contestant, in turn, asked general knowledge question. if answer right, £200 added prize fund if answer wrong , de mooi knows answer wrong, presses red button in front of him answer same question. if gets wrong , contestant gets right, additional £100 added prize fund. if gets right, contestant asked multiple-choice question de mooi. if right, gameplay continues normal if wrong, lose 1 of 2 lives. if contestant loses both of lives, out of game. when time runs out, surviving players move on final round, along total number of lives remaining players, chance win equal share of prize fund.


final round

the final round starts out de mooi answering ten general knowledge questions. number of questions gets right becomes target team has beat. team can confer on every question. every wrong answer means team loses 1 of lives , if lose of lives, leave nothing if beat target, win equal share of prize fund.

a 25-part spin-off series ran 22 august 23 september 2016, search 2 new members eggheads line-up: 1 male, 1 female. series won steve cooke , beth webster.
