the architect paul böhm owner of tenement. in 1906, house acquired mr schmidt, engineer. during interwar period, building housed preparatory school, st. kazimierz. @ time, dr. jan biziel, honorary citizen of bydgoszcz, lived there. has memorial plaque set on house s wall.


the building designed on u shape, four-storey main building , residential outbuilding located in back. indoor, high mansard roof hides attic apartment. facade has different balconies, frame construction in top floor, , polygonal tower covered tented roof.

the building has been erected between 1899 , 1900, rudolf kern according project of józef Święcicki. associate of Święcicki , later on independent designer, of many townhouses in downtown such as:



its own house located @ mickiewicz alley 1;
august mentzel tenement @ gdanska n°5;
eduard schulz tenement @ gdanska n°66-68;
tenement @ gdanska street 71.

in years 1906-1919, dr. heinrich boksch owner (address molkestrasse 2. in 1926, building housed branch of bank stadthagen (polish: bank stadthagen. towarzystwo akcyjne), established in 1892 lewin aronsohn had own house downtown. large opening on ground floor of facade has been realized on initiative of bank, allow light flow street.


the three-storey building residential attic built on polygon footprint interior courtyard. front elevation asymmetrical, avant-corps surmounted gable pinnacles, along loggias , bay windows. upper parts of facade built timber framing method. 1 of few picturesque achievements of joseph Święcicki avant-garde buildings in end of 19th century. stucco decoration of facade dominated stylized floral elements, branch tracery rose window , decorative cartouches. tenement has been entirely restored in 2016-2017.

the building erected on lot covering cieszkowski n°5 , n°7 owned franz muhme, mastermason, @ moltkestrasse 19. 1 of last tenements built in august cieszkowski street demarcated in 1894. in 1927, building bought health district department, adapting clinical use. after world war ii, clinic had been operating here until 1994. present state of building reflects overhaul work carried out 1987 1998.


the three-storey building loft has inverted t -shape footprint, outbuilding in wing. mansard roof shelters attics. avant-corps of front elevation capped triangular gable. elements of original design of building no longer exists, lacking original stucco decoration.

the building erected carl meyer own use. 1 of first tenements built in cieszkowski street. carl meyer built several other edifices in downtown bydgoszcz, among others:

construction work @ cieszkowski 6 has been carried out master mason hermann lewandowski , master carpenter rudolf berndt. in 1941, house requisitioned third reich ministry of labour house district supply office.


the three-storey building loft has polygon base avant-corps. building displays eclecticism, typical in bydgoszcz @ end of 19th century. many decoration details mentioned, such as:



stylized sun ornaments,
cartouches mask,
mantling palmettes , ribbons.

on facade placed cartouches displaying triangle , compass, symbols of carl meyer s profession.

the building commissioned franz muhme, owner of plots on cieszkowski n°5 , n°7. architect karl bergner had designed many other buildings in bromberg @ time:

it four-storey building mansard roof attic, l -shape footprint. front elevation symmetrical along 5 axis, avant-corps surmounted terrace. gate decorated head of woman, capped stylized oval-shaped palmette.

józef Święcicki intended sell profit property once completed. however, during construction józef Święcicki sold plot , building rights alexander grabowski. @ inception, building address moltkestrasse n°4.


founded on inverted t -shape, four-storey building has symmetrical front elevation 2 avant-corps. façade topped triangular gable , timbered mansard roof. dominant motifs stylized stucco ornaments: chestnut leaves, twig woven coat of arms cartouches. @ street level, wall presents bas-relief of heron in rushes, symbol of peaceful human life existence.

the building commissioned merchant, ephreim moritz. after world war ii, building became property of treasury department. present architectural state of building result of restoration work carried out in 1990s.


the four-storey building mansard roof has u -shape outbuildings. front elevation asymmetrical, 2 avant-corps topped terraces. left avant-corps surmounted gable adorned bas-relief stuccoes: scenes depict allegorical female figures owl , rooster, symbolising day , night . form of female head placed in portal pediment.

the plot stands house belonged józef Święcicki: sold in 1902, colleague rudolf kern. rudolf kern designed many other edifices in bydgoszcz, among others:

in 1906, house sold albert jahnke, merchant.


the four-storey building loft has inverted t shape . front elevation topped triangular, timbered gable , conical tented mansard roof. entrance opening decorated flower volutes stuccoes.

the building erected on behalf of gustav reschke, rentier. construction carried out master mason emil heidemann , master carpenter friedrich lork. in 1902, house @ moltkestrasse 16 purchased builder joseph Święcicki, aspiring rebuild interiors. building has been thoroughly restored during 1990s , after 2000.


the four-storey building residential attics has u footprint 2 outbuilding wings. front elevation symmetrical, flanked two-storey loggias, topped triangular bay windows surmounted balconies. slight avant-corps can noticed, capped gables semicircular pediments. bay windows of second floor adorned plant decoration , heraldic cartouches, including woman head, bydgoszcz coat of arms, cog , head of hercules. portal frame displays allegorical scene putti blowing clouds, symbol of stripping away worries of home residents. building has preserved of original woodwork , windows decoration, part of stuccoes in residential area.

in 1915, building purchased rudolf frisch, rentier, had veranda added. present facade of building result of restoration works carried out in 2010.


the four-storey building has t shape. left top of front facade has small avant-corps crowned gable. roof has embedded shed dormers, on right end being covered tented roof. lower tier displays brick masonry. opening above entrance hole decorated art nouveau ornamentation: stylized chestnut leaves , head of woman.

after 1920 building passed hands of housing company seating @ libelta street, , after world war ii has been owned housing cooperative of bydgoszcz (polish: bydgoska spółdzielnia mieszkaniowa). during postwar period facade lost decoration. 2 deep restorations have been carried out, 1 in 1992 , 1 after 2000.


the house has got 4 storey, on u shape 2 elongated residential wings. front elevation has 2 bay windows, each topped octagonal tented roof. in central part of facade loggias: first floor displays tuscan order columns arcade, , second level has got wooden pillars , baluster railing. 4 peak roofs timbered made. gate opening @ n°13 topped stucco of woman s head, , entrance @ n°15 has cartouche bearing ad1903 , surrounded chestnut leaves.

the initiator of project vincent krause, first owner, sold plot architect karl bergner. in 1901, karl bergner applied 3 houses building permission on area. work finished in 1903, , shortly afterwards, individual pieces of real estate sold. rehabilitation work including several architectural details has been performed around 2010.


the three-storey building has l footprint small outbuilding wings. ensemble has got common mansard roof attics , dormers. façades standardized, without distinct divisions of individual segments. in central part of block 2 bay window topped spires. on walls stand wide friezes art nouveau plant motifs, while bottom of both bay windows adorned chestnut leaves , stylized head of woman.

the building erected on behalf of rentier gustav reschke. current architectural details , original colors outcome overhaul connected performed in 1990s. polish vice admiral napoleon louis-wawel lived there 1923 till committed suicide in house in 1934.


in 1923, union of poles eastern borderlands (polish: związek polaków z kresów wschodnich) opened charity kitchen displaced poles victims of borders changes after peace of riga ussr: in 1929, had served total of 30014 meals. kitchen led anna von helmersen, living @ jan , jędrzej Śniadecki street n°12.


the four-storey building residential attic has got l shape. front elevation symmetrical, flanked on both sides 2 massive balconies topped mansard roof. dormers standing on gable ornamented volutes.

the building commissioned wealthy craftsman vincent krause. 1902 1907, new owner, railway clerk named richard fiedler, ordered reconstruction of building, including:



the expansion of wing fit additional staircase,
the building of glazed verandas , balcony in corner,
an additional ground-floor outbuilding.

thorough restorations have been performed in 1990s , after 2000.


the building has 4 storeys, part of recedes lot. block enriched series of glass verandas , gables. on corner, under pink tracery canopy, placed halberdier, symbolic protector , guardian of house. in opposite corner, cartouche bears initials kv first owner of building, krause vincent. facades display various cornices , ornaments, embellished vegetal motifs. top of main facade capped weather vane bearing date 1899 .

the first building on plot dates 1870s. in 1896, @ same location, gustav reschke, rentier , real estate dealer (who ordered buildings @ n°11 , 17) commissioned new, grander tenement. ground floor devoted retail stores , rest four-storey apartment. full revitalization of house, bringing original facade appearance reconstructed architectural details , original colors, has been carried out in 1993-1994.


the four-storey building has l shape bay windows , balconies on first , second floor. front elevation symmetrical, regularly laid out architectural decoration. of first floor windows flanked ionic pilasters. second floor windows topped stylized acanthus pediments.

eclectic, forms of picturesque architecture , neo-baroque


the first building on plot dates 1870s. in 1895, in same location, architect fritz weidner designed tenement on behalf of wilhelmin wiemer, owner of lot. finally, financial disputes, project has been carried out karl bergner instead of weidner. construction of building completed in 1899. ground floor devoted shopping , restoration retail , upper floors housing. on october 11, 1936, richard klewin, dentist, acquired building. during communist era building housed restaurant gromada , since 2000, accommodates restaurant pierogarnia pod aniołami ( dumpling restaurant under angels ), run bydgoszcz diocese caritas association. facade has undergone full overhaul in 1994.


the three-storey building has u shape footprint beveled corner. corner elevation displays avant-corps facade on cieszkowski street, enriched two-storey bay window. corner, capped spired roof lantern, flanked on top triangular gables dormer windows. second floor bay-window open arcaded loggia supported ionic columns.
