the woolpack inn sits in centre of one-way system in middle of village. built cottage wool store in 1725 has served public house since 1783. built in brick thatched roof; became grade ii listed building in 1986.




the parish church of st michaels , angels, grade ii* listed building, occupies prominent position overlooking avon on site of old saxon church. constructed ironstone rubble dressed binstead stone isle of wight, has stepped buttresses , lancet doors , windows. endowed earl godwin in 1050.
