ithaca has 4 parks within city limits. these include woodland park, atkinson park, mcnabb park, , newly created ithaca dog park. woodland park large park children, including playscape , lots of other playground equipments slides , swings. park has large sledding hill , ice skating rink. inside woodland park north end site ithaca dog park started , finished in summer of 2012. atkinson park quieter , senior favorite close community senior center , senior housing. mcnabb park can found in south of town , home many events throughout year, including gratiot agricultural society expo , ayso soccer games. mcnabb park has several biking , hiking paths enjoy.

ithaca has 1 unified public school system, spread out on 3 buildings (covering communities of ithaca, sumner, north star , surrounding townships). school mascot jack, yellowjacket high school has tennis facilities host matches area teams public swimming pool open public during summer months. competitive swimming events not held @ public pool. school s football , soccer stadium renovated funding both public , private donors. stadium completed on course of summer of 2012 , features renovated concessions , bathroom facilities, renovated seating , new concourse.
