the aias national board of directors students , recent graduates elected members serve organization s highest office one-year term. elections include rigorous candidacy @ aias annual meeting forum, including national speeches, q&a, , networking. once elected, new board of directors undergoes transition period december july. in july of each year new board of directors sworn term @ national building museum (a member attended tradition started in 2011). individuals asked raise drawing hand in order take oath. president , vice president, known officers, hired full-time work on behalf of organization out of national office in washington, dc. presidents transition role of past president upon completion of term on board. quad directors work students within region, typically while still attending school. liaisons appointed collateral organizations, including association of collegiate schools of architecture , american institute of architects. aias supported full-time staff led executive director in washington, dc.
