the ehf champions league launched in 1993/94 season both men s , women s teams. competition has developed considerably on years, introduction of distinctive blue lagoon , black floor in 2007/08 season, creation of ehf champions league ball changes format of competition, saw introduction of new last 16 , velux ehf final4 in 2009/10 season. start of 2011/12 season, velux group added name men s competition title sponsor, , competition became velux ehf champions league. 20th jubilee season (2012/13) saw launch of brand new corporate identity , logo.


the women s competition introduced final tournament first time in 2013/14 season , added quarter-final stage in following edition.
