on morning of february 19, 2007, during 2007 nba all-star game weekend in las vegas, jones allegedly involved in altercation exotic dancer @ minxx, local strip club. jones , american rap artist nelly patronized club evening. nelly, along known richard rich, showered stage hundreds of one-dollar bills; act known making rain. jones joined nelly throwing own money visual effect. club promoter chris mitchell directed dancers collect money. according club s co-owner, jones became enraged when dancer began taking money without permission. allegedly grabbed hair , slammed head on stage. security guard intervened , scuffled members of jones entourage of half dozen people. jones allegedly threatened guard s life. during time, mitchell , male associate left club garbage bag filled $81,020 , 2 breitling watches, police later recovered. after club patrons left following original confrontation, club owner claimed person in jones s entourage returned gun , fired crowd, damaging equipment , hitting 3 people, including security guard involved in earlier skirmish. guard shot twice, , 1 of people hit—former professional wrestler tommy urbanski—was paralyzed waist down. jones maintains did not know shooter, although club s owner insists jones did. on march 26, 2007, las vegas metropolitan police department recommended city s district attorney jones charged 1 count of felony coercion, 1 misdemeanor count of battery , 1 misdemeanor count of threat life.

on january 15, 2008, jones accused of hitting woman in strip club in atlanta, georgia on morning of january 3. woman, wanda s. jackson, seeking arrest warrant.
