the college consists of 2 campuses, main (also called south) , north.
the main campus original , largest, of classrooms, administration buildings , residence halls. quad anchored durick library west , chapel of saint michael archangel east. 3 academic halls, cheray hall, jeanmarie hall, , saint edmund s hall, along mccarthy arts center line quad south. alliot student center , 4 underclass residence halls wall quad on north.
also located on main campus doc jacobs athletic fields, ross sports center , tarrant recreation center, founder s hall, houses administrative offices, , hoehl welcome center, houses admissions office. standing @ main gateway of school, admission interviews prospective students held in hoehl.
north campus, 1 mile (1.6 km) main campus, features additional residence halls, apartments, , sloane art center, has studio arts facilities drawing , painting, photography darkroom, , classrooms. sloane contains knights of round table, dining hall.
demographics
as of fall of 2012, 1,928 undergraduate students, 52% female , 48% male, enrolled @ saint michael s college. 20% of students in-state; of 80% out-of-state, 2% international. undergraduate students @ college come 35 states , 17 countries. saint michael s has 155 full-time faculty members; creating 12:1 student faculty ratio on campus. there 439 graduate students attend college; on 90 percent vermont.
sustainability
saint michael s has taken many steps towards sustainability on years. named first fair trade school in vermont. along initiatives in cafeteria, saint michael s has organic garden started in 2008 , has grown huge project students , faculty alike. garden utilizes student volunteers through move program , works summer interns , crew members prepare vegetables farm stands run mid-summer through beginning of fall. school provides free ccta commuter pass students, staff, , faculty. improve water conservation, dual-flush handles toilets have begun installed in various buildings around campus. campus showerheads , sink aerators low flow. saint michael s college took st. francis pledge, promise , commitment catholic individuals, families, parishes, organizations, , institutions live faith protecting environment , advocating on behalf of people in poverty face harshest impacts of global climate change. part of college s ban on bottled water, office of sustainability has installed several water bottle fill stations throughout campus, allowing students more use reusable water bottles. saint michael s college has been recycling throughout campus since 1989 , takes steps toward improving energy such light bulb exchange program (switching out standard light bulbs energy efficient light bulbs) , 3 degree challenge (lowering temperatures in residence halls , academic buildings) while working increase energy , electrical efficiency of campus buildings. combined many education programs on energy consumption run office of sustainability, college has reduced carbon footprint 29% since 2003. saint michael s offers environmental studies major , minor students interested in further focusing on environment perspective of natural sciences, social sciences, , humanities.

hodson , newest building on campus, residence hall 4, apartment style housing juniors , seniors.
the townhouses, numbered in series; 100s, 200s, 300s,and 400s, house seniors in apartment-style living. in summer of 2008, kitchens added 400s in order accommodate senior housing initiative.
north campus
the ethan allen apartments house seniors , juniors in apartments.
hamel hall, purtill hall, , linnehan hall house sophomores, juniors, , seniors in doubles , singles. theme housing took on linnehan starting in fall 2007 semester.
north campus vacated after 2017 academic year.
major additions
the dion family student center $30 million structure creating new 40,000 square-foot student center , 43,000 square-foot residence hall on campus, completed in fall of 2013. student center brings new meeting spaces high tech capabilities, einstein bros. bagels, exercise facility, , meditation room. residence hall brings beautiful views on 4 levels providing 105 beds: 15 single rooms, 2 rooms ras, , 22 four-person suites.
