early career

in 2010 , 2011, thompson played souths logan magpies in queensland cup. in 2012, joined eastern suburbs tigers, giving him chance pre-season national rugby league team melbourne storm. storm attempted sign thompson couldn t fit him under salary cap. in 2013, played games iconz rugby in australian rugby sevens tournament. in april 2013, while playing eastern suburbs tigers, signed 2-year contract canterbury-bankstown bulldogs starting effective immediately.


2014

in round 1 of 2014 nrl season, thompson made nrl debut bulldogs against brisbane broncos. in september 2014, thompson re-signed bulldogs on 1-year contract.


2015

on 16 august 2015, thompson signed 2-year contract super league team widnes.


2016

in 2016 season. corey scored 27 tries vikings, meaning second highest try scorer in league behind denny solomona of castleford tigers. corey helped team 7th place finish in super league.
