the enclosed area level , described ground being elliptical, although aerial photographs appears circular. diameter 100 m, area of 0.8 ha. present use cattle pasture, frangible, pinkish stone (possibly devonian sandstone) forming substrate. condition deteriorating, less structure visible shown on 1888 survey map. northern , eastern ramparts overgrown trees, merging forest. in vicinity, there evidence of mining iron, tin , kaolinite, quarries, pits, shafts , dumps in abundance.
