the impressive feature of city walls, demolished romans, encircled hill, towered @ 600 meters above sea level. visible gate in walls @ south-western portion of city. in city center, entire ancient street exposed. in southern end of city there preserved portion of city walls. wall section terminates @ small christian church of triconch form, mosaic floor decorated depiction of strange illustration of human animal head, resembling egyptian god anubis or saint christopher.
