figi structure
a figi consists of 3 parts: two-character prefix, g third character; 8 character alpha-numeric code not contain english vowels , e , , o , or u ; , single check digit.
in total, encoding supports more 852 billion potential values, under initial bbg prefix. in total, there on 330 trillion potential available identifiers.
structural rules
the permissible characters use within figi subset of iso 8859-1 follows:
