for occastion of mutual 30-year anniversary of both franchises, idw published limited crossover series titled teenage mutant ninja turtles/ghostbusters in 2014, featuring idw version of teenage mutant ninja turtles joining forces comics ghostbusters. success of series launched sequel - teenage mutant ninja turtles/ghostbusters 2 - 3 years later, accompanying assortment of action figures blending turtles , ghostbusters physical features.
