found maintained position @ head of market 1000 guineas on 3 may ten days before race o brien announced not starter in race after preparation had been interrupted illness. withdrawn race on 1 may. day after 1000 run, found reappeared against apparently less-challenging opposition in group 3 athasi stakes @ curragh. starting odds-on favourite took lead approaching final furlong overtaken , beaten 2 lengths four-year-old iveagh gardens. on 24 may found started 5/4 favourite in eighteen-runner field irish 1000 guineas @ curragh. after struggling obtain clear run in straight finished failed half length overhaul jim bolger-trained pleascach.

found entered in oaks , supplementary entry in derby considered, missed epsom meeting reappear in coronation stakes @ royal ascot started favourite ahead of field included lucida , french-trained ervedya winner of poule d essai des pouliches. took lead approaching final furlong caught in final strides , beaten neck ervedya. after 3 consecutive second places, filly given two-month break before being stepped in distance royal whip stakes on ten furlongs @ curragh on 23 august. ridden heffernan, took lead inside final furlong , drew away win 4 lengths four-year-old colt answered.


autumn

on 12 september found stepped group 1 level irish champion stakes @ leopardstown. starting 6/1 third favourite in top-class field finished finish second, length behind golden horn , ahead of free eagle, pleascach, highland reel, grey gatsby , cirrus des aigles. in october, year after win in prix marcel boussac filly sent france contest prix de l arc de triomphe on 2400 metres @ longchamp. after racing on inside bumped when ryan moore attempted move out obtain clear run in straight. finished ninth of seventeen runners, 5 lengths behind winner golden horn. 2 weeks after run in arc, found contested champion stakes on ten furlongs @ ascot , started 9/2 second favourite behind golden horn s stablemate jack hobbs. restrained moore @ rear of field , still last of thirteen runners entering straight. made rapid progress on inside overtook jack hobbs in final furlong , finished second, 1 , quarter lengths behind winner fascinating rock. o brien commented delighted run, ran great race. ryan let relax , came home well. can forward next year, hope stay in training .


on final appearance of season, found sent kentucky contest breeders cup turf @ keeneland on 31 october. ridden moore female in twelve-runner field , started 6.4/1 fourth choice in betting. golden horn made odds-on favourite ahead of seven-year-old big blue kitten (joe hirsch turf classic invitational stakes, sword dancer invitational handicap) , six-year-old pizza man (arlington million) whilst other runners included red rifle (bowling green handicap), twilight eclipse (man o war stakes) , slumber (manhattan handicap). outsider shining copper, acting pacemaker or rabbit stable companions big blue kitten , slumber, took lead after start , opened long lead found being positioned behind leaders of chasing group. on final turn shining copper gave way golden horn found close behind , moved challenge favourite big blue kitten began make rapid progress rear. found gained narrow advantage 150 yards finish , won half length golden horn big blue kitten 3 quarters of length away in third. aidan o brien commented came out of races well, , going her, tried this. she’s amazing filly .
