the uss cavalla (ss-244), @ seawolf park in galveston.


she reclassified auxiliary submarine agss-244 in july 1963. cavalla decommissioned , struck naval register, 30 december 1969.


on 21 january 1971, cavalla transferred texas submarine veterans of world war ii. resides @ seawolf park on pelican island, north of galveston, texas. cavalla has undergone extensive restoration process (see photos, below), , open self-guided tours. among benefactors president of texas united states submarine veterans of world war ii, paul francis stolpman, , former texas secretary of state george strake, jr.
