it possible nyren player recorded nyland of sussex played all-england against dartford in 1759. living in sussex in 1758, married year @ slindon, , not resident @ hambledon until 1762. first confirmed mention of him cricketer in 1764 when named captain of hambledon team defeated chertsey 4 wickets @ laleham burway on 10–11 september.

nyren bowed out of cricket in 1784 as, ominously hambledon, white conduit club made debut in first-class matches. hambledon membership in decline nobility began seek london venue cricketing activities , white conduit initial attempt @ establishing metropolitan presence. richard nyren s final recorded appearance in all-england v hampshire match @ sevenoaks vine on 1 , 2 june 1784. all-england won convincingly 7 wickets. nyren scored 0 , 8, took 1 catch , no wickets.
