keillor has been married 3 times. married mary guntzel 1965 1976; had 1 son, jason (born 1969). married ulla skaerved, former exchange student denmark @ keillor s high school whom re-encountered @ class reunion, 1985 1990. married classical string player jenny lind nilsson (born 1957), anoka, in 1995. have 1 daughter, maia grace keillor (born december 29, 1997).


between first , second marriages, keillor romantically involved margaret moos, worked producer of prairie home companion.


on september 7, 2009, keillor briefly hospitalized after suffering minor stroke. returned work few days later.
